The speed variator is a mechanism of planetary gearsets that, through friction, transmits power which produces a decrease of the regular output speed. The speed variation is obtained by displace the planetary disks radially. The power transmission is carried out of progressive and silent way, without stage, with a maximum performance for this kind of units of power transmission.
The speed variator can cause a reduction in the output revolutions in its position of maximum reduction to 5 times the pertaining the maximum, being the last one the two thirds of the angular input speed. So, if the input is realized with a 4 pole motor, 1500 rpm, will be obtained a maximum output speed of 1000 rpm and a minimum of 200 rpm.
The variations in the output speed will be controlled by the turn in one an another sense of the wheel, according to increase or decrease this speed. The turn produced in the wheel will correspond directly with the increment or decrease in the output speed, varying the sensitivity with the size of the speed variator.
The gear reducers that can be mounted with a speed variator are the MRH, MF, MQ, KM, VCROM, CROM and ROM series.
Assembly Position
It will be necessary to attend to the same needs specified in each case for the types of reducer that mount the variator. In particular, the level of oil of the variator must be assured and visible in its indicator, for all the allowed positions of assembly.
Maintenance and Lubrication It will be necessary to attend to the same needs specified in each case for the types of reducer that mount the variator. In particular, the speed variator should carry out a first change of oil before its first 300 hours of working. After this action, will suffice with carrying out the following changes each 3000 hours of use.It will be necessary to verify regularly the level of lubricant of the variator.
